Manipal’s Bharatiya Vikas Trust Bags Ashden Award under Energy Access Skills Category : November 04th, 2021

Bharatiya Vikas Trust (BVT), Manipal, established by late T.A. Pai, has bagged the Ashden Award 2021 in the ‘Energy Access Skills’ category.

Trust’s Master Trainer Sudhir Kulkarni and Consultant Sudeeptha Ghosh received the award from Costa Rica President Charlos Alvarado Quesada during the Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, United Kingdom, on November 4.

The “Clean Air Street – Church Street First” was been conferred with the “Commendation Award in Urban Transport” under the category “Running trophy for the state/UT, which has Implemented Best Urban Transport Projects during the previous year”.

Air Cargo Terminal at Hubballi Airport Operational. First ever in North Karnataka: November 03rd, 2021

A dedicated domestic air cargo terminal at Hubballi Airport, the first such facility in North Karnataka region, became operational on Novermber 03rd, 2021.

Airports Authority of India (AAI) has, in coordination with Airports Authority of India – Cargo Logistics and Allied Services Company Limited, operationalised the dedicated domestic air cargo terminal.

The old passenger terminal building at the airport has been renovated to function as a cargo terminal at an estimated cost of ₹45 lakh. The old passenger terminal was lying unutilised after the new terminal of the airport with hi-tech facilities was commissioned.

M B Bojanna, Winner – Gold Medallist of Kempegowda National MMA and Striking MMA Championship-2021

Mandetira Bhuvan Bojanna (aka) M B Bojanna won the Gold Medal in the Light Weight Category of the Kempegowda National MMA and Striking MMA Championship-2021.

The competition was organised by the AIl India Mixed Martial Arts Federation in Bengaluru from Oct. 28 to 31.

 Bhuvan will be the first person from Kodagu to represent India in the upcoming World Championship – GAMMA (Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts) that is going to be held in Germany.
