The World Tulu premiere of Rahul Amin directorial Raj Sounds and Lights will be held in 11 countries and 6 major cities in India

The inauguration will be held on April 24 at Hotel Marco Polo Al Mateena St Deira, Dubai and the invitation of the same was released on Monday, April 18.

The premiere will be in USA, United Kingdom, Bahrain, Kuwait, Nigeria, Zambia, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Qatar, UAE ( Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah) and Oman.

12 KV Students from Karnataka for Pariksha Pe Charcha with PM Narendra Modi

Twelve students of classes 9 to 12 from Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) in Karnataka are among the students selected for interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Pariksha Pe Charcha at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi, on April 1.

An online creative writing competition was held between December 2021 and January 2022 to select the students.

Three students selected from Bengaluru Urban educational district are class 10 student Aayushi Jha from KV 1, Jalahalli West; class 11 student Ayush Mani Tripathi from KV ASC (S) Centre Bengaluru; both participated in the ‘Clean India Green India’ competition; and class 12 student Shiwangi Mishra from KV ASC Centre, who participated in the ‘Environmental Conservation and Climate Change Resilience’ competition.

Two students selected from Belagavi district are class 10 student Shreyas Marganakop from KV No. 3 and class 11 student Janhavi Dwibedi from KV No. 1, Air Force Station, Sambra, who had participated in ‘Environmental Conservation and Climate Change Resilience’ competition.

Two students selected from Bengaluru Rural district are class 10 student Rishi Kumar Polepally from KV AFS Yelahanka, who participated in ‘Digital Collaboration in Classroom’ competition; and class 10 student Janhavi Dev from KV No. 1 Jalahalli West, who participated in ‘Exam Stress Management Strategies During COVID-19’.

The other students are class 10 student G.U. Akshaya from KV Shivamogga; class 10 student Anusha M.C. from KV Tumakuru; and class 9 student Shreya N. from KV Chamarajanagar, who all participated in ‘Digital Collaboration in Classroom’ competition; class 9 student S. Padmapriya from KV Kodagu, who participated in ‘Exam Stress Management Strategies During COVID-19’; and class 12 student M. Sahana from KV Donimalai, Ballari, who participated in ‘Clean India Green India’ competition.

* 27 films win awards at BIFFes

The awards were presented for films released in 2020 and 2021

The 13th edition of the Bengaluru International Film Festival (BiFFes) drew to a close on Thursday with 27 films winning awards in three categories – Asian, Kannada and Indian. The awards were presented for films released for two years, 2020 and 2021, as the festival was not held last year due to the pandemic. Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot presided over the event and presented the awards.

* Kalaburagi artist for Jordan

Kalaburagi-based artist Mohammed Ayazuddin Patel will participate in a three-day International Art Festival titled Colours of the World organised in collaboration with Amman Greater Municipality and SMD Foundation at Ras Al Ain Art Gallery, Amman in Jordan.

The festival will be inaugurated under the patronage of Anwar Halim, Ambassador of India in Oman, on Saturday.

 ** AIISH Hosts 53rd National Communication Meet . Awards Presented at Event.

A two-day 53rd national conference of the Indian Speech Language and Hearing Association (ISHA), Mysuru chapter, began at All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Manasagangothri campus this morning.

The event, titled ISHACON, began at the Knowledge Park of the AIISH and is being organised by the Mysuru Indian Speech Language and Hearing Association (MyISHA). More than 1,300 delegates are participating in the event that will be a venue for over 16 plenary talks, 36 oral research paper presentations and 115 poster presentations.

At the conference, three eminent personalities in the field of speech and hearing were felicitated with prestigious oration awards in recognition of their contribution to the field — Dr. M. Pushpavathi, Director, AIISH, received Dr. N. Rathna Oration award, Dr. U. Ajith Kumar, Professor of Audiology, received Prof. S. Kameswaran Endowment Oration award and S. Rajapandian received Prof. R.K. Oza Oration award. Dr. Kalyani Mandke, Director, Mandke Hearing Services, Pune, received the “Bharat award” in recognition of her services as the President of ISHA during 2011-12.
